Barn Owl on a Stone — bronze sculpture

The owl perches on a plain cubic block, talons gripping the edge and head turned directly towards the viewer. Its distinctive heart-shaped facial disc is the brightest point of the whole composition, while the dark, deep-set eyes give the figure a concentrated, watchful presence. The silhouette stays recognisably realistic without descending into fussy detail — what matters is the overall rhythm of body and wings. The sculpture is handmade: cast in bronze using the lost-wax technique, then hand-worked and hand-patinated.
