Flame — abstract bronze sculpture

A soft, streamlined form rises from a single point and twists upward, enclosing an elongated teardrop opening at its centre. The composition is entirely abstract — you might read it as a flame, a leaf, a wave, or two intertwined figures, depending on the angle. The sharply tapered base gives the heavy mass a surprising lightness. The sculpture is handmade: cast in bronze, then hand-ground, smoothed and finished with a warm golden patina in a matt surface.

This is handcrafted work in which everything depends on the surface — each curve is smoothed by hand, stage by stage, so the light travels across the form gently and without hard breaks, and the tone of the patina settles a little differently on every casting. The bronze is mounted on a low dark base that contrasts with the gold and reinforces the vertical rhythm of the piece. The sculpture fits naturally into minimalist and contemporary interiors — on a console, sideboard, desk or in a display cabinet — and makes an elegant gift for a jubilee, a promotion or a housewarming.
