The Suitor with a Bouquet — bronze sculpture

This good-natured gentleman lifts his hat in greeting while clutching a bouquet in his other hand — a whole story caught in the second before he speaks. The sculpture is entirely handmade: cast in bronze using the lost-wax technique, then hand-chased and hand-patinated in the studio. The deep green of the jacket plays against the warm golden sheen of the face, the flowers and the shirt cuffs, and every detail has been worked individually, from the creases around the half-closed eyes to the ribbed texture of the trousers.
