The Rider — bronze sculpture

The horse stands motionless on a rectangular slab, head lowered and neck extended, while an upright figure sits on its back looking straight ahead. Both silhouettes are deliberately elongated and lean, almost ascetic, with no facial features and no detail of harness or tack. This is a scene of stillness rather than movement — full of tension, gravity and silence, echoing archaic equestrian imagery. The sculpture is handmade: cast in bronze using the lost-wax technique, then hand-worked and hand-patinated.

This is handcrafted work with a strongly exposed texture — the surface keeps every trace of the modelling: ridges, hollows and irregularities that break the light and give the form its rawness. The cool patina in shades of grey, green and blue is applied by hand, so it settles differently on every casting and no two pieces are identical.
